14 July A day to go before the traditional pre season opener at Newcastle town.. possible the only game I don't look forward to. Poor view and been there so many times, it lost it's appeal years ago.

The proposed Charter flight already announced to be a non starter ..club now advising supporters to book via Thomas Cooke.. the club's partnered travel agent.

13 July Stoke on the BBC website and the star newspaper as contemplating chartering a plane to Austria for the Real Madrid game...

Nice idea.. but... Short notice , likely cost to fans , the cost and difficulty of chartering a plane or finding the free airport space on traditionally one on the busiest weekends of the year for air travel - can't see it happening...besides the 30-60 hardcore who'd be needed to make such a flight viable tend to travel independently and made their arrangements ages ago.

Finally, Stoke have  'history' at that ground when we played Roma...inviting another 150-180 extra fans on a one day jolly to a non policed tiny ground with no security arrangements ..a none starter.

PS see the Bad Ausee game has been official announced as being played on Monday 23rd 6:00pm ( the original date)

10 July 2nd game of Austrian tour announced.. Real Madrid on 27th July 18:30 at Irdning - same place that we played Roma in 2004

07 July Would appear from comments on the official site that the 1st game v Bad Aussee has been moved to Tuesday 24th July

05 July Stoke are being linked with Trevor Sinclair - who's been released by Man City and who Stoke should have bought years ago when he first emerged at Blackpool.

04 July Martin Paterson , a product of Stoke's academy has signs for championship rival Scunthorpe - the fee to be decided by tribunal.
